Rome Travel Guide

Must Have Food & Drink:

  • Osteria da Fortunata (best pasta ever, must get the carbonara, a reservation is highly advised)
  • Geolitti (best gelato in Rome, the dark chocolate flavor is AMAZING , Audrey Hepburn eats here in Roman Holiday and it is thought to be the oldest ice cream parlor in Rome)
  • Ristorante la Canonica Roma (so cute, decorated with twinkly lights and ivy, great service, the type of place that serves you Prosecco while you wait for your table)
  • Terrazza Les Étoiles (rooftop bar in/ near Vatican City, great views)

Must See Places:

  • Trastevere (my favorite part of Rome that wasn’t sight seeing, full of beautiful streets & restaurants, this is where Ristorante la Canonica Roma is)
  • Piazza Navona (stunning at night, lots of restaurants and fountains, Osteria da Fortunata is right outside this square, touristy area but feels very classically Italian)
  • Spanish Steps (beautiful area, part of The Talented Mr. Ripley was shot here, the Trevi Fountain is a short 9 minute walk from here)
